‘When I Miss You’, by Cornelia Maude Spelman, is a book that we sometimes read in our bereavement groups at Ryan’s Place. Although this book is not directly about the death of a loved one, it helps children to identify, and learn how to handle the unpleasant, and sometimes frightening, feeling of missing someone. During this time in history, our grief and feelings of missing loved ones is compounded by the need to social distance ourselves from one another. I hope that this book offers you the opportunity to talk with your children about the anxiety and distress they may be feeling due to the death of their loved one, as well as their feelings of separation due to COVID-19. https://vimeo.com/437136278
