The National Alliance for Children’s Grief promotes awareness of the needs of children and teens grieving a death and provides education and resources for anyone who wants to support them… Because all grieving children deserve a chance to heal.
About the Alliance
The National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) provides a network for nationwide communication between hundreds of professionals and volunteers who want to share ideas, information and resources with each other to better support the grieving children and families they serve in their own communities. Through this network, the NACG offers online education, hosts an annual symposium on children’s grief, maintains a national data base of children’s bereavement support programs and promotes national awareness to enhance public sensitivity to the issues impacting grieving children and teens.

Lending Library
Bonnie Maggert Memorial Library
Ryan’s Place has a wonderful lending library full of books for both adults and children that cover a wide range of topics pertaining to death and grief. Many of our children’s books come with activities to help children begin to process their grief.
The Bonnie Maggert Memorial Library was started in 2006 in memory of a Ryan’s Place volunteer, Bonnie Maggert, who had died shortly after beginning her work as a facilitator. This library is open to anyone that may be in need of some literature to help them or their children on their grief journey.
To find out how to check out a book you can call our office at 574-535-1000.
